HEAD OFFICE RECRUITMENT
Bond Talent to be deployed across Tesco Head Office functions to reduce administrative burden and improve access to talent pool -
DATE: Tesco, the UK’s largest retailer, has signed a contract with stock market-listed Bond International Software to implement Bond Talent – a fully hosted online recruitment and applicant tracking system.
Bond Talent will initially be deployed in Tesco’s UK head office operations based in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire – where 300 external hires and 400 internal moves are anticipated over the next year – with the potential to spread wider across the business.
Bond Talent will be incorporated into Tesco’s pre-existing recruitment processes so as to provide a robust infrastructure which will provide greater visibility and access to information. Tesco is contacted by many thousands of job applicants and it has reached such a size that it has become impossible for the head office recruitment team to manage efficiently. As Jane Smith, Head of Resourcing (Commercial), explains, “The main advantage we predict from deploying Bond Talent will be delivering an improved candidate experience. Bond Talent will allow us to manage the thousands of applicants we receive through the Tesco.com website, and offer the Recruitment Team improved search facilities. We can then identify which job would suit which person best.”
Smith continues, “We will have the ability to reduce the amount of time spent on administrative tasks whilst improving access to information – be that previous applications in the talent pool or tracking candidates throughout the recruitment process. We will also be able to assess our time-per-hire, a metric we have not previously been able to measure effectively. Overall Bond Talent will enable to us make far better recruitment decisions, for both internal and external appointments.”
Bond Talent is a specialist application for the global recruitment and talent management markets which has been designed to greatly reduce hiring costs and to enhance the strategic capability of in-house resourcing teams.
